"In short, this review will tell you that Marta is one of the most wonderful people I have met and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a nanny or post natal doula support. I met Marta in spring when I was expecting my second child and instantly felt at ease with Marta’s style of childcare and her warm and caring demeanour.

We met Marta to discuss postnatal support and despite having what I considered to be a detailed post natal plan, having done this once before… Marta asked really good questions to make us think about the support we might need and had us thinking about things that we hadn’t considered but were actually really important. Whilst we were waiting for our daughter to arrive into the world we organised some sessions with Marta and my older daughter, so that my oldest could get used to Marta’s presence in our home. My daughter warmed to her very quickly and before we knew it was talking about Marta all the time and telling us how much fun they had. Marta has a brilliant way with children, so playful, caring and calm and assertive when needed. When my second daughter was born Marta visited us for a birth debrief which was so valuable to myself but also my husband. For some reason society doesn’t seem to ask birth partners to talk about their experience of childbirth - he found this especially important as we had an unintentional free birth. When Marta started her post natal support I was worried about how it would work. Even though I wanted to be kinder to myself for this post natal experience, I am a control freak and I try to be super organised and hate when people visit and the house isn’t tidy etc. even my husband has trouble trying to do things for our family. Marta was amazing, she encouraged me rest by taking control of so many things without me asking and without adding to my mental load by asking for instructions or where things were. She understood my home and how it run so well, so quickly and with minimal input. During this initial post natal period my oldest daughter understandably had some difficulty with the changes that were happening in our home. Marta gave us some amazing help with strategies and techniques to work with our daughter during this adjustment. I’m sure I’m a better parent because of Marta. Marta was incredibly helpful in signposting us to a number of different post natal services. She has such in depth knowledge of post natal support and the local network of pregnancy and doula/birth specialists which is so useful. Marta supported me, my daughters and my husband way beyond what I expected when I contacted her and asked her to work with us. We intitially just asked for help for a 6 week period but found Marta’s help so useful we extended beyond this. I found myself very quickly adjusting to life with a baby and a toddler and being happy and content throughout - I don’t think I would have adjusted so quickly without Marta’s support. Marta is so special and if you get to work with her you are very lucky and a word of warning - you won’t want her support to end!”
